Scholarships
GFWC Tennessee awards scholarships to students attending college in Tennessee.
GFWC Tennessee Annual Scholarship
GFWC Tennessee awards scholarships of $1,000 to students in Tennessee. Applicants must be planning to attend, or already enrolled at, a Tennessee college or university.
The GFWC Tennessee Scholarship Committee reviews every application and decides how the scholarships are distributed. Recipients are notified by May 1.
Scholarship funds are mailed directly to the recipient's college or university, not to the student. The student is responsible for giving GFWC Tennessee the information the committee needs to send the money to the right place.
A previous recipient can apply again, but must submit a new application each year. Awards do not renew automatically.

Why we fund scholarships
The General Federation of Women's Clubs is an international women's organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Supporting education has been part of that work since the Federation's earliest years, and Tennessee clubs raise scholarship money across the state rather than one club at a time.
